House Washing in Arlington, WA — Soft Wash Exterior Cleaning
House washing in Arlington, WA — a low-pressure soft wash for siding, soffits, fascia and trim. What's included, 2026 pricing from $199, before/after, and how to book.
Arlington homes take a beating from the wet season — the green algae film on the north walls, the grime under the eaves, the cobwebs and pollen in the soffits. We clean houses across town, from Old Town and the Airport neighborhood out to Gleneagle, Kackman Creek and the rural properties along 67th and Burn Road. Here’s what a house wash actually covers.
What house washing includes
A house wash is a low-pressure soft wash — detergent and a cleaning solution do the work, applied at garden-hose pressure so nothing gets forced behind the siding or into window seals. On a typical Arlington home we clean:
- Siding — vinyl, fiber-cement, aluminum, wood or engineered lap
- Soffits and fascia — where the spiderwebs, dirt and wasp starts collect
- Trim, window frames and shutters
- Eaves and the underside of the roofline overhang
- Porch ceilings, columns and railings
- Exterior doors and light fixtures (rinsed)
Gutter faces are not part of a standard house wash. The black “tiger stripe” staining on the outside of the gutters is a bonded oxidation that needs its own detergent process — that’s our optional gutter brightening add-on. More on that in tiger stripes on your gutters, explained.
Why soft wash, not pressure
High pressure on siding drives water behind the cladding, cracks brittle vinyl, and gouges wood. It also just knocks the top layer of algae off instead of killing it, so it’s back in a season. A soft wash kills the growth at the root and lasts 2+ years. The EPA’s Safer Choice program is a good reference on the kinds of detergents that clean effectively without unnecessary harm — the solution matters more than the pressure. Full explanation in what is soft washing.
Before and after
A house wash is one of those jobs where the difference from the street is dramatic — dull, green- tinged siding comes back to its actual color, and the shaded north side stops looking like a different house. See examples in our gallery.
